The Eight Brocades or Eight Precious Exercises
This simple Qigong set comprised of eight movements, is one of the easiest sets to learn, regulates and balances all of the meridians in the body creating health and vitality in those that practice it regularly.
It was called the Eight Pieces of Brocade or Eight Pieces of Silk because these exercises were considered so precious to health. It is also a great way to learn more about the meridian system and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
What is Qigong
Qigong is one of the oldest health practices in the world. It is similar to Tai Chi but much easier to learn. It combines gentle flowing movement with abdominal breathing to create meditative movement leading to deep relaxation and a peaceful mind.
Steve Thomas has been studying, practicing or teaching Qigong since he first discovered its health benefits over 30 years ago. This knowledge has been especially important for maintaining his own health and that of his patients in over two decades of acupuncture practice.
Wear loose clothing.Bring a water bottle and a plate of food to share. Morning and Afternoon tea provided.
